Ingredients For Success

Moving on to Chapter 2 of Barrett's excellent book, "Dare to Dream and Work to Win", he says that success is not an accident. In order to have a delicious cake one must use the correct ingredients, it is the same with success. Here are the four important ingredients required for a successful network marketing business:

1. Determine what you want. "Be absolutely clear about what you want out of your business before you decide what you will put into it." Write it down, this will help you focus now and later on when the going get tough. "A clear dream (goal) provides perspective and perseverance."

2. Decide what you are willing to give up in order to accomplish #1. It's time to stop dreaming and start working! Now that you are the boss, you will need to become self disciplined about putting yourself to work. This new found freedom may be new to you. Success will not be handed to you on a silver platter, but needs to be earned the "old fashioned way".

To Filter or Not to Filter?

I think Jason made a few good points in his testimony on last night's conference call. Although he does have somewhat of a leg up in that he has experienced the benefits of the product first hand, he did, however, encourage us not to filter WHO we decide to tell about the Evolv product and opportunity. It is surprising to him that people that he thought would never be interested signed up and some who he thought would jump right in didn't. So... take your entire address book or facebook friends or business social network and tell ALL of them. Good advice Jason!

There Will be Naysayers

I like what Paul from Idaho said in last nights conference call. "Some will, some wont, so what?, next?" Not everyone will be eager to share in our excitement. That's okay. Don't take it personally or let any of their negatives change your resolve and commitment to your success and achievement of your goals.
Jim Lutes says it well also: What if the product doesn't work? Well.. what if it does? What if the company goes broke? Well...what if it doesn't? What if people don't like the taste of the water? Well... what if they do? See what I mean? Some people see the glass as half empty, we need to see the glass as have full. That will enable us to be successful in this business.
This is your business, your dream for success, ignore the naysayers... don't worry, you will find a magnitude of yea-sayers out there!!!

At the end of our Saturday conference call Jim Lutes mentioned a couple books that would be helpful for those of us who are new to this business. One of them was the one I mentioned a couple weeks ago that I would be outlining the salient points here. So let's dive into the first chapter of Dr Tom Barrett's "Dare to Dream and Work to Win" .

He outlines 3 major principles:

1. Consistent Effort
2. Duplication
3. Give It Enough Time

Consistent Effort

Discipline is the Price of Success! "You can work your business full-time or part-time, but NOT spare-time." "When someone says they do not have time for something, they have stated a priority NOT a fact."

Duplication

J Paul Getty, "I would rather have 1% of 100 men working for me rather than 100% of my own efforts." It is the mathematical power of simple duplication. You sign up one person this month and both of you sign up another next month and continuing monthly, after 12 months you will have 4,096. Sounds good, huh?

Give It Enough Time

Be patient, take the long view and stay on task. Set your goals and work your goals accordingly. "He or she who invites the most people to view the presentations wins" is a real truism. Put in the time and you will reap the rewards in the future.

Awesome Meeting Last Night

I have to tell you that I was very impressed with our first Evolv meeting in Orange County. We have 2 of the main Evolv leaders in our backyard as they both live in Carlsbad. John Gustin who is an expert in the nutrition and health industry and Jim Lutes a network marketing guru spoke at the meeting. John shared about his background experience and the due diligence on the product that he did when meeting with Trey White in Dallas some months ago. He was the one that recommended that this product was perfect for the multi level marketing approach to distribution. He also presented Trey with a road map for structuring the marketing and sales of the product. He will be a great resource for all of us to learn from...

Jim talked about his extensive background in the industry and how excited he is that he will be training all of us. Wow... his talk was motivating and informative. He will be teaching us the best way to build our business and it will be up to us to respond and act. If we work real hard for the first couple years we can be assured of monthly residual income for years in the future.

I encourage all of you to start with listening to all the conference calls and attend any of these meetings that are in your area. One person on our team flew in from New York for the meeting.

Orange County Kick Off Meeting TONIGHT

How fun. My son Derek has arranged a meeting at the St Regis Hotel in Dana Point on Wednesday night at 7:00. Guest speakers will be Jim Lutes, the man who is on the conference calls from San Diego, and John Gustin another Master Distributor and Don Ruiz a local highly successful entrepreneur.

This will be a great way to meet some new folks, get educated about the network marketing business and get prepared for The Launch in October.

Focus on the Process

Knowledge or Money... Which comes first?
For right now, forget about the money. Our focus must be on learning the product and the business. The money will flow as a result of doing these first two things well. The structure is in place for that to happen automatically.

If you have chosen to build a team before the launch (Oct) then you will want to fill up your pipeline by putting a team in place during the next 4 weeks. Your back office site has archived prior conference calls for you to listen and learn. The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) are for your information regarding the product and the company. Knowledge is Power! So in order to build your team you will need to get as many people as possible to view the company pre-enrollment presentation. Do this by calling your friends, e-mailing them, using the internet to your best advantage, handing out Evolv tickets, etc.
Don't concern yourself with the Results but rather be attached to the Process. Not everybody is interested in this stuff. Expect that, but the key is inviting everyone so they can have the opportunity if they so desire. So if your process is to spend x hours per day learning the product and the business and x number of hours per day inviting people... try to be diligent in doing that work everyday. You may not see results right away but if you stick with the process, the results will come in time. Focus on the Process!

So You Want To Get Paid Too!?!

I just got this from a higher up at Evolv. Look at what we can make representing the most awesome product in the world!

"I did some number crunching based on the information and the pay structure is extremely lucrative. I will go under some baseline assumptions for example. As we know from the last call, the cost for 1 case of 24 x 16oz bottles is $56. I am hearing that the distributors will need to purchase 2 cases per month ($112 investment). Don't stress! One because as distributors we also need to be users & believers in the product because that is our culture and #2 because the investment is a DROP in the bucket compared to what you will earn with just the minimum baseline. The assumptions and examples tied to the assumptions are for scale only & I can't guarantee you are already on track at this pont, but these are very conservative & easily achievable goals.

Assumptions:

1. $112 monthly investment per Distributor (2 cases of 16 oz evolv)

2. Each of us has 15 people/distributors enrolled personally or our preferred customers

3 Each of those 15 preferred customers enrolls just 5 people. (75 people/distributors)

4. Each of those 75 enrolls just 2 people/distributors (150 people/distributors)

Fast Start Bonus:

All first orders are paid as such

1. 25% of all sales of our direct/preferred customers. (15 x $112 = $1,680 x .25 = $420)

2. 10% of all sales from our 15 preferred customers. (75 x $112 = $8,400 x .10 = $840)

3. 10% of all sales from those 75 people (150 x $112 = $16,800 x .10 = $1,680)

*People, the first month at these very conservative requirements would mean that you could recieve an initial fast start bonus of $2,940. You invest $112 and use the product.

Monthly Retail Sales moving forward:

If you don't grow at all and just maintain your preferred base of 15 people

1. 20% of all sales of our direct/preferred customers. (15 x $112 = $1,680 x .20 = $336)

2. Bienary income from our 15 preferred customers 5 people plus their 2 people.

(225 people x $112 = $25,200 x .13 = $3,276)

*That would equate to a continued monthly income of $3,612

Not Real Savvy

I am not a marketing network expert by any means. Actually that last sentence proves it. It is network marketing not vise versa. ;-) This is actually my first serious attempt at starting my own business like this. I do, however, have some serious experience from a corporate view of product acceptability, marketing and sales strategies, and customer relations. I hope to fold that know-how into what I learn about this new found business.

The best way for all of us to learn is to take full advantage of the training and support from the leaders at Evolv. They have tremendous experience in this field, know what works and what doesn't. Start with all the conference calls. If you can't listen live, listen on line as they are available in your "back office". I have even started going back to past calls and am keeping a notebook so I'll have the data at my fingertips.

I just received a new book that was recommended by my sponsor about this new business. He says it is the best one out there. It is "Dare to Dream and Work to Win" by Dr Tom Barrett. So over the coming weeks I will take snippets from this book that may help us as we march toward The Launch!

New Idea

As I was driving home from the Post Office yesterday I noticed a brand new Lexus in front of me that had nice lettering in the back window that read "www.Heberalifeinfo.com" something like that. So I decided I wanted to talk to this person about Evolv. I followed her a couple miles until she stopped for gas. Perfect, I was hoping she wasn't going to her home as I would probably scare her to death. So I walked over and asked her where she got that nice lettering and told her I just started with a new network marketing company. She of course asked me which one so it opened up a great conversation about Evolv. She seemed to like the ground floor idea. I told her she might want to consider adding another line to her business. I also mentioned that our product could actually be used as a conduit for Herbal life that would help penetrate their vitamins and nutrients along with Evolv's to the molecular level thus increasing it's efficacy. (I am just using logic here) So here's the New Idea... Talk to existing network marketing people and see if they want to add a product line to their existing business. Why? They already have a distribution network in place!!

The Slogan

On Saturday's conference call, Jim Lutz gave us the new slogan that our CEO has evidently coined : "Changing the World One Sip at a Time". I like that. It has a nice ring to it. We can use that you or we can make up our own. I would like to steal the one from that tv beer commercial where at the end the guy says "Stay Thirsty My Friend!" Yea, that is the one I'm gonna use. What slogan ideas do you have?

Ticket Invitations Made Easy

As Jim mentioned in the conference call today we have the ability to print out invitation tickets.
Yesterday I went to my Back Office and clicked on Tickets. A fill-in menu appeared whereby I put my name and web address (You can put your phone number in or just leave it blank). A Pdf file is created with a page of 8 custom tickets to hand out. I started with 10 pages. It’s like a business card but is really an invitation to watch the video. Invitation is easier than solicitation (these guys have thought of everything). I saved it to my flash drive and went down to my local FedX-Kinko’s office. The lady suggested I upgrade the paper to 80 and use the color laser. They have a nice cutting machine there. So I walked out with 79 beautiful glossy tickets and I am on my way! (Yes, I left one ticket with the lady)

Why Evolv is the Answer

Dr. Otto Warburg was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1931 for discovering the cause of cancer. Cancer is caused when the body's cells change from aerobic respiration to anaerobic respiration. The growth of cancer cells is initiated by a lack of oxygen. Lack of oxygen and high levels of acidity usually go together. The brighter color red your blood is, the more oxygen it carries. The darker its color, the less oxygen it carries.

The biochemical process where ATP is created is called oxidation phosphorylation and is oxygen-dependent. Cancer cells make ATP by fermentation phosphorylation, which requires acidity and a low oxygen environment. Aerobic cellular respiration creates as many as 36 ATP molecules from each glucose molecule. Anaerobic respiration creates only 2 ATP molecules. When cells cannot feed off of oxygen, they feed off themselves, fermenting their own sugars and becoming cancer cells.

As I reflect on one of the FAQ's, Evolv says it is positioning itself to become a billion $ company. I have no reason the doubt this. They have hired the best people with the required skill sets to put in place an infrastructure that will be a launching pad for future tremendous growth.

Usually we are taught that finishing the race strong is most important. That is probably true in most cases. However, since we are in a place whereby Evolv is merely a "huh" rather than a household name, it is incumbent upon ourselves to hit the ground running in getting the word out so that people can get educated as quickly as possible.
